I came across Joe Deisenroth of Revco Solar Engineering by my great chance when I was trying to figure out what to do about getting my pool heating expenses (which were astronomical !) down. I wanted to convert to solar and was coming up with somewhere between nothing and things that made no sense. I saw Joe’s post on NextDoor and contacted him. He was very responsive and immediately gave me some idea about a rough plan by just looking at my property using a mapping application, and we made an appointment. He was right on time, extremely friendly and very forthcoming with information that not only helped me in my decision-making, but helped me better understand the entire functioning of my pool heating system. Very quickly, I realized that his solutions were the way I wanted to go. I can’t say the system was inexpensive, but even the most expensive option was still half the price of what I had been quoted to replace the gas heater, and he connected me with a pool service guy who replaced the sensors on my heater which has extended its life. We were able to schedule for exactly the time that worked for me - part of which no one was home. They worked autonomously, kept me apprised of their progress and were so tidy, you would never know anyone had been trenching in the yard, etc. Joe was and continues to be a wealth of knowledge in regard to solar and pool work for me. He went out of his way to keep costs down. And speaking of costs, we only just had the solar installed in February, but I can already tell I have saved a considerable amount of money in heating costs. I can see that the savings will offset the installation cost in a very short amount of time, and I’ve been able to use the pool and spa just like it were summer. I really cannot say enough good things - I am just so pleased !
